WorldViz is excited to announce that we are participating in Vision Science Society's virtual event! Join us on Monday, June 22 for 2 webinars centered around vision sciences. See below for event details!
VR Eye Tracking – From zero to experiment in 6 minutes
Monday June 22, 3PM EDT
Speakers: Andy Beall and Sado Rabaudi
WorldVizVR will teach you how to setup and perform eye tracking studies in VR with Vizard and Python. At the end of this session you’ll see how you can insert your own 3D geometry, generate 3D visualizations of the scene and gaze path, extract gaze intersects as well as saving out of raw data and modify using your own target objects and parameters by editing just a few lines of code.
The presentation and teaching will be provided as a remote meeting with screen-sharing, and a live camera view will allow you to observe the eye tracker setup and operation for leading vendor's eye tracked VR headsets.
If you have your own laptop with a Windows operating system (or a Windows Parallels Desktop for MAC users) available for this session, you'll be able to create your own project from start to finish in the second half of the presentation.
VR Eye Tracking – Meeting in VR to Experience and Discuss Concepts, Setups and Analytics Options
Monday June 22, 5PM EDT
Speakers: Andy Beall and Sado Rabaudi
NOTE: There will be two options to participate:
In this session, participants will be able to discuss and experience a simulated eye tracking setup in a fully immersive VR world. Analytics options for VR eye tracking data will be shown and can be discussed between the participating researchers. Each VR session will have a WorldViz expert explaining components and functionalities of a typical setup and participants can experience and discuss between each other their concepts and ideas for how such an eye tracking setup can be used.
Experiencing the power of VR firsthand is an eye-opening experience for all who have not experienced this yet.
We hope that this session will allow to A) discuss concepts, setups and analytics options for VR eye tracking, but also will B) show all participants how natural interaction in VR environments can look and feel like, and how well it works for a social interactive setting in a smaller group of participants.
